I've known and admired MerryLee Rae's wonderful work for longer than I care to remember and it was a real delight to see so much more of it when I finally got onto the WWW.
Her attention to detail and ability to abstract the essential lines from a subject allow her to give life and personality to the beings and creatures that inhabit her jewels. That she is also an excellent metalsmith means that her enamels are presented as complete, aesthetically balanced creations, glowing and alive.
